Hockey is a sport where two teams play against each other by trying to maneuver a ball or puck into an opponent’s goal by using a hockey stick. It is considered as one of the more violent sports because it is prone to fights among players and brawls among fans. This sport requires a lot of stamina, skill and dexterity. The winners get a hockey trophy and the recognition and prestige as excellent players of the sport.

The sport has a number of variations. Field hockey is played on gravel with a small, hard ball. Ice hockey is played in an ice rink with players wearing ice skates and maneuvering a puck. Inline hockey is similar to ice hockey but with inline skates and on a skating rink. Street hockey, sometimes called road hockey, has the same rules as ice hockey but this time it is played on the street.
